About SHA

Founded in 2011, Sakura Hawaii Alumnae was created from an idea that women with similar experiences and interests could gather and celebrate their common bond. Here, all roads lead back to the Cherry Blossom Festival ... the goal for SHA is to create a vehicle in which Cherry Blossom Festival contestants, upon completion of Festival Ball, will have the opportunity to join the ranks of hundreds of ambitious, successful and community-minded Cherry Blossom Festival women. In 2012, SHA was registered as a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization.

Mission

To build positive relationships among all former Cherry Blossom Festival Contestants while perpetuating and advancing Japanese culture and heritage in Hawaii’s community through education and volunteerism.
